About Me

I despise the left wing liberal attempts to change America. I support FREEDOM, freedom of speech, right to bear arms, religious freedom and protecting the rights of Americans, including the unborn. Close the border, round up illegals and send them home. Welcome them back with a green card. I believe in preserving the visions of our founding fathers which did not include Socialism or Sharia Law. This IS STILL America.....at least for now.

Is This Really Happening to America? It is Time to Wake Up NOW!

I am not an alarmist....nor a conspiracy theorist. I am a single Mom and I am afraid.

Our government has taken ownership in the auto industry, banking industry and now it appears a takeover of the health care industry.

There are bills and treaties looming over us that will fundamentally change our country. When you look at these things and cannot deny what is happening, it is overwhelmingly frightening. Then add to that the way the Obama Administration and the liberal congress responds to Americans who disagree. The President himself said he did not want the people who created the mess to talk...he wants them to get out of the way and not do a lot of talking. It makes sense to me that he is talking about conservatives. Adding more, our government is asking people to report people and websites who disagree with Healthcare Reform. Last but not least, conservative Americans have been called extremists and low level terrorists.

I cannot believe this is happening.

It appears to me there is nothing we can do to stop these changes before the next election. I am afraid that is too late.

Conservative consituents have become "astroturf". No matter what we say or do, we are moot.

There are "CZARS" who are self-proclaimed socilaists, communists and America haters in the White House and with the way they work, they bypass congress, if I am correct in my understanding.

I know that my congressmen represent me well. That being said, they are not heard either. They are not given a chance to read bills that are still being written as they are brought to the floor for a vote. They are getting little, if any, cooperation in working on healthcare reform. The way I see it, they are shut out of the process. The media never covers the conservative congress. They do not even cover the fact that the liberal congress are not even reading the bills they vote on.

Having said I am not a conspiracy theorist, I cannot help but wonder what is coming next? It sure appears there is an agenda at work here and it is destroying the greatest nation in the world.

What is happening to our country? I want my children to be free. I do not want to be told how to parent my children (UN Convention on the Rights of the Child). I do not want school based healthcare clinics coordinating the care of my children with school officials(H.R 3200). I do not want my children being forced into National Service(H.R.1444), or fear of being reported to the government if they disagree with the government(flag@whitehouse.gov).

Something sinister is happening. I can feel it and it scares the hell out of me.

How did this happen? How can we stop it?

More realistically, CAN it be stopped?

  1. Tammy,

I found the following (in quotes) which is attributed to you - at another blog site.

I went to the web site you cited and found what looks like a copy of HR3200, even though I have not read all of it. Are your comments meant to suggest that this is not an authentic copy of the bill, or are your critical remarks directed at the contents contained at the site? In other words, what do you find fishy about the content?

Above you will find a website regarding health care reform. Unlike most citizens, I read everything like this completely and I have to tell you, I find this extremely "fishy". I do hope that you will contact the authors of this information and let them know that we, the American People....will not stand for anymore disinformation."

  2. Dear Anonymous,

I will give you three guesses! Ready, set, go!

  3. Tammy,

No thank you - no guesses from me. I would like to have a serious discussion. Since you've read the entire text of the bill, you should be a able to single out one or two sections that you believe are the most egregious in terms of disinformation. Explain your reason - else let the discussion end here - without prejudice.

  4. Tammy,

By the way, I enjoyed your photos; I'm an amatuer photographer, and you can see some of my photos at:

  5. The entire bill is nothing more than socialized medicine. The extreme cost alone makes it unstainable. There is not one clear example of government run healthcare being successful. The entire bill is fishy.

  6. Thanks for the compliment on my photos. While I am no professional....I am happiest with my children and my camera.

  7. Tammy,

I'm the blogger who posted the above comments at this post as anonymous. I'm posting this under a blogger name - to distinguish myself from another anonymous commenter who has been asking you the same type of questions that I have - concerning your objections to the proposed health care plan. When the other anonymous blogger asked you to be more specific about your objections (as I also did - and you declined) you responded to him that you had listed 52 reasons (with references to sections in the bill) in another blog article. I'm new to your site, and I will appreciate it if you will provide a direct link to the particular post to which you refer.

    Thank you - Bobillw

You will also find a link to the bill....where you can cross reference. It is important to understand....that because something is said one way...does not make it FACT. They say abortion is not covered...but nowhere in there is it specifically excluded or included. Don't you think it if were really NOT covered...Planned Parenthood (and other groups) would be raising hell?

  9. Tammy,

Thank you for the links (to your 52-reasons article)I requested, and the bill, itself. In the introduction to your article, you state:

"I read this and found it enlightening. I believe it is a must read for everyone! Once you read the list below, ......"

I have begun comparing the comments in the list against the contents of the sections you reference - and I find both enlightening. Now, can I assume that the claims and conclusions in that list of 52 are based on your own reading and analysis of HR3200? I ask this only because I know some bloggers frequently post information directly from other sources without giving credit.

  10. It came to me in an email as I had just finished reading the bill. I then took each item and compared it to the bill and found it to be accurate.

As for who compiled the list...I have no idea...it was a forward of a forward of a forward....with no author given.

  11. I always give credit....though usually it is in the form of a link to the website where I find the information.

As you can see in the post below...I gave credit to the person who did the review of Cap and Trade.

  12. Tammy,

I would have sent these comments via E-mail, but could not find your address at your site. I hope you will not dismiss them out of hand, but I will not be offended if you choose to do that and do not post or respond to them. In any event, I thank you for posting my earlier comments and for responding to my earlier questions, and I thank you, especially, for providing me with links to the "list of 52" and HR3200.

    My E-mail address is bobillw@cox.net

By posting the "list of 52" on your web site, you have associated yourself with the content of the list - and by your own comments - you have endorsed the accuracy of each and every claim in the list. I have not yet examined every item in the "list of 52", as you say you have, but I have analyzed a sufficient number to conclude (without reservation) that the list contains many comments and claims which are not supported by the specific sections of HR3200 cited. That's not to say that all of the claims fit that mold, because typical of this type of widely circulated (mostly anonymous) E-mail message, it contains enough truths (or half-truths) to convince some readers of its veracity. Some of the false claims in the list are easy to disprove (see the two below) while others require more thorough research. I will not be surprised if factcheck.com, Snopes, or some such organization eventually picks up on the "list of 52" and does a thorough job of debunking and exposing it for what it appears to be, an urban legend.

FIRST EXAMPLE from "list of 52"

"Sec. 401.59B, Pg. 167, Lines 18-23 - ANY individual who does not have acceptable care, according to government, will be taxed 2.5% of income."

False - This claim is a gross exaggeration of the actual penalties as described in lines 1 - 11, page 168. In fact, lines 6 - 11 of page 168 describe an absolute maximum penalty which can be assessed in one year. For many individuals, this amount would be much less than 2.5% of the person's income.

SECOND EXAMPLE from "list of 52

"Sec. 205, Pg. 102, Lines 12-18 - Medicaid-eligible individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No freedom to choose."

False - The seven lines cited by the author (lines 12 - 18, page 102) contain language which clearly disputes the author's claim that there is "No freedom to choose." another plan. Lines 16 - 18 make it clear that a Medicaid-eligible individual can elect another plan in lieu of being enrolled in Medicaid.

  13. I will address the first one...Yes...if you do not carry insurance as individuals...you WILL be fined 2.5% of your gross income.

    This is not secret.

Remember....you have to read what the bill says as much as what it does not say.

Can you show me where abortion is specifically excluded as Obama says?

  14. I give snopes and factcheck ZERO credibility. They are both very leftist and liberal owned.

  15. "I will address the first one...Yes...if you do not carry insurance as individuals...you WILL be fined 2.5% of your gross income.

Below is the complete text of page 167, lines 18 - 23 of HR3200 as cited in the "list of 52" followed by lines 1 - 11 of that section. The latter text details a formula, based on one's income and staus, for assessing the penalty tax. How do you reduce all of this to a claim (secret or not) that the tax will be 2.5% of gross income?

    Page 167

"18 SEC. 59B. TAX ON INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT ACCEPTABLE

    19 HEALTH CARE COVERAGE.
20 (a) TAX IMPOSED.—In the case of any individual
21 who does not meet the requirements of subsection (d) at
22 any time during the taxable year, there is hereby imposed
23 a tax equal to 2.5 percent of the excess of—

    Page 168

1 (1) the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross in
2 come for the taxable year, over
3 (2) the amount of gross income specified in
4 section 6012(a)(1) with respect to the taxpayer.

    5 (b) LIMITATIONS.—
6 (1) TAX LIMITED TO AVERAGE PREMIUM.—
    7 A) IN GENERAL.—The tax imposed
8 under subsection (a) with respect to any tax
9 payer for any taxable year shall not exceed the
10 applicable national average premium for such
    11 taxable year.

"Remember....you have to read what the bill says as much as what it does not say.

Can you show me where abortion is specifically excluded as Obama says?"

I am quoting from the bill and commenting on that, together with the claims about the bill made in the "list of 52." I cannot know or quote or make comments about what the bill does not say. There's adequate material for a good discussion about the "list of 52" and HR3200 without dragging topics into the discussion that you admit are not actually in the bill.

For my future reference, who are the owners of Snopes and Factcheck?

    ReplyDelete
  16. In that version you are correct..it is the smaller of 2.5% of their gross income and the cost of a health insurance plan. If you have a family.....it would likely be 2.5% since the cost of the plan would be higher.

Even Howard Dean...a huge proponent of this plan says 2.5% as standard.

    ReplyDelete
  17. No, a direct tax on anyone's gross income is not mentioned (or I don't see it in the few lines cited.) The formula for calculating the amount (see the text of HR3200 cited)on which the tax will be levied includes gross income and adjusted gross income.

  18. Tammy,

I'm taking the train (AmTrak) this morning to Washington to spend, what looks like will be, a wet weekend. I leave you now with these well-intentioned comments:

A lot of good people have a lot of good reasons for opposing HR3200, but the "list of 52" was circulated as a distraction. It is not well written and, obviously, not well researched. Do yourself a favor: Remove the list from your blog (without comment) - then do your own due-dilligence research and post your own list of reasons for rejecting HR3200.

Have a nice weekend - Bobill
